Announcing the Rock Town Lit Fest, a new event that celebrates literature in the QC! The Rock Town Lit Fest is a two-day celebration of literature in our community. The first day will feature a lit crawl around downtown Rock Island, featuring readings from local and regional poets and writers. The lit crawl will start at the Midwest Writing Center and end at Rozz-Tox, with stops to be announced. It will be followed by an after-party at Rozz-Tox!

Enjoy "hop stops" all over downtown Rock Island! Each stop is a different District business or organization that showcases up to five different local artists. Paintings, sculpture, photography, food, beverage, live music, prizes, giveaways, and much more. Gallery Hop is one of the premiere Quad Cities events showcasing local culture and community support. Start at any one of the participating venues downtown Rock Island, pick up a map and enjoy the evening!

The Freight House Farmers Market is one of the largest farmers' markets in the region, and they begin their spring outdoor hours! Stop by on Saturday or Sunday for an outstanding selection of local farmers, food trucks, vendors and more. Grab breakfast at the QC Food Hub or browse the great indoor vendors as well.

local_dining Tour de Brew location_on RIBCO, Rock Island schedule 10am - 8pm
Tour de Brew is a scenic, fun-filled bicycle ride along the Mississippi River with stops at some great local breweries and pubs in both Iowa and Illinois. The ride is 35 miles along the river on paved bike path. Each destination on the tour will have drink specials and fun festivities! The 2017 stops are: RIBCO, Damn View Inn, The Mound, Bleyart's, The Edge Eatery and Drinkatorium, Bad BOyz, Bent River, and O'Keefe's before ending back at RIBCO. Then, join the RIBCO afterparty with the BRAT PACK!

This year's event will support charities Camp Kesem Augustana, the LIVESTRONG Foundation, and Living Proof Exhibit.

local_dining Big Brew Day location_on River House, Moline schedule 11am - 3pm
Join us at the River House for a festival of local brewing! Beer brewers start setting up around 8:00. There's a National Toast to brewing at 12 noon, followed by afternoon brewing through 3:00 and live music + afterparty in the courtyard.
